HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador held a friendly discussion with Hon. Sajith Premadasa Minister of Housing and Construction at the Sethsiripaya Building on 25/4/2018. During the meeting both parties discussed bilateral relations in all aspects between the two countries. The Minister commended the State of Kuwait for existing good relationship with Sri Lanka and expressed his country’s appreciation for the contribution by Kuwait in order to promote development of infrastructure projects through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and Kuwait Joint Relief Committee. H.E. The Ambassador expressed his willingness of the State of Kuwait to provide further assistance to Sri lanka.
HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador met with the newly appointed U.A.E. Ambassador H.E . sheikh ahmed ali hamad al mualla at the Embassy premiseson 27/03/2018.
H.E . The Ambassador wished successes to him and congratulated him for his new appointment.
He also discussed with the UAE Ambassador the latest political developments in the regional countries.
HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador received the visiting Kuwait delegation from the Al Najath Charity Organization State of Kuwait- led by Al Sheikh Jamal Al Shatti
HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair praised the efforts of the Al Najath Charity Organization in extending assistance to the people of Sri Lanka. At the same time, Al Sheikh Jamal Al Shatti emphasized the role of the Embassy and its close relationship with the charity organizations in Kuwait.

During this meeting , both parties discussed various issues especially the situation of Muslims in Sri Lanka.
The Minister praised the support provide by the Kuwait Government to the people of Sri Lanka in the various fields especially the efforts made by HE The Ambassador to promote relations between the two countries.

HE The AmbassadorKhalaf Bu Dhhair received the visiting Kuwait delegation headed by Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah President Civil Aviation of State of Kuwait at Embassy premises on 4/12/2017.
The delegation arrived Sri Lanka on 4/12/2017 to attend the 10th International Civil Aviation Organization Conference on Air Service Negotiation in Colombo during the period 4-8/12/2017.

Faizar Musthafa Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils Hon. Rishard Badiuddin Minister of Commerce and Industry and Members of Parliament representing several Political Parties In addition to that foreign Diplomats in Sri Lanka . also attended The Business Community Media Personnel and several other high ranking officials representing Political, Economic and Religious Organizations.

Also present at the occasion were Ministers , Members of Parliament , Top Officials from the Government of Sri Lanka and The Staff of the School.
HE explained in his speech about the role of Kuwait in providing assistance to the people of Sri Lanka in various fields such as education and culture.
This new building was donated by Mr. Dhaary Adhil Al Janahi.

08/11/2017 – Colombo, Sri Lanka: The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society Colombo Branch took steps to provide relief items to people affected by minor floods in Hanwella, Colombo today. Around 800 families received aid during the day. The Kuwaiti Red Crescent sponsored the relief packs and funded the relief distribution.
Their support will extend to people affected in districts of Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Colombo, and Galle totalling their support to over 4000 families.
President of Sri Lanka Red Cross Jagath Abeysinghe, Secretary of the Colombo Branch Dr Amila Kankanamge and representatives from the Kuwaiti Red Crescent participated at the event.
