The Embassy opened its condolence books on Sunday, December 17, extending through Tuesday, December 19, in honor of the Late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah.

The Sri Lanka Foreign Service Association, in collaboration with Colombo-based diplomatic missions, organized an 'International Bazaar' on the 2nd of December 2023 in Colombo.

His Excellency Khalaf M.M. Bu Dhhair - Ambassador of the State of Kuwait actively participated in the National Day Reception of the Sultanate of Oman held at Shangri La Hotel on 20th November, 2023.

His Excellency Ambassador Khalaf M M Bu Dhhair represented His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, at the inauguration ceremony of President Mohamed Muizzu as the President of the Republic of Maldives.

The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Colombo celebrated the 59th National Day and 29th Anniversary of the Liberation of the State of Kuwait by hosting a Reception on 25th February, 2020, from 7 to 9PM at the Kingsbury Balmoral Ballroom. Honourable Johnston Fernando – Minister of Roads and Highways & Minister of Ports and Shipping, was in attendance as the Chief Guest along with many VIP guests and dignitaries from various fields who graced the occasion.

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador attended the opening ceremony of the new building for East Ceylon Arabic College and the Convocation ceremony of the East Ceylon Arabic College , situated in Addalaichenai 340 Km away from the capital Colombo.

The 5th Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship Group paid an official visit to Sri Lanka led by Prof. Adel J A M Aldamkhi M.P during the period 13 to 16 February 2019, at the invitation of the Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament Hon. Karu Jayasuriya.

The parliamentary delegation held talks on Wednesday, 13/2/2019, with Hon. Abdul Haleem Minister of Islamic Affairs and Post at the Ministry premises in Colombo. During the talks, the head of the delegation, Dr. Adel Al-Damkhi, referred to Kuwait's role in assisting the Muslims in Sri Lanka...

The 5th Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship Group, led by Prof. Adel J.A.M. Aldamkhi, MP visited the Official Residence of the Speaker, Hon. Karu Jayasuriya and paid a courtesy call on 13th February 2019.

The Kuwait Parliament delegation visited the Sri Lankan Parliament, where they inspected the Parliament Museum and the Session Hall. The delegation then held talks with the Secretary General of the Sri Lankan Parliament Dammika Dissanayaka.
