The Kuwaiti delegation held a special meeting with the Minister of Foreign Employment, Mr. Harin Fernando, during the meeting the head of the delegation addressed the issue of dispatching skilled Sri Lankan workers in Kuwait, pointing to the need for large projects.

During the meeting Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa requested a Parliamentary Friendship Delegation of Kuwait to explore the possibility of providing employment opportunities for Sri Lankan engineers and technicians at oil refineries in Kuwait.
