HE The Ambassador attended the Convocation Ceremony of Jamiah Naleemiah which was held in Beruwala , 55 Km away from the capitol Colombo. 165 Graduates passed out this year . HE The Ambassador received warm welcome from Jamiah Naleemiah Management Committee.

HE The Ambassador Yaqoub Yousef Al Ateeqi held a friendly discussion with the Deputy Minister of External Affairs Mr. Neomal Perera at the Embassy premises. During this meeting, both parties discussed various issues especially the situation of the Sri Lankans working in Kuwait.

HE The Ambassador Yaquob Yousef Alateeqi paid a visit to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Colombo to convey his condolences on the sad demise of the HH Saudi Crown Prince,Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz. He was welcomed by the Saudi Amassador HE Abdul Aziz Al Jammaz.
