H.E. Yaqoub Yusuf al Ateeqi, the Ambassador to State of Kuwait in Sri Lanka has visited Musali area in Mannar district today Tuesday 18, June 2013 to inspect the progress of Kuwait Housing project which is funded by Zakat House of Kuwait, construction of 50 houses for the benefit of poor and needy people in the Northern province.

The Maldivian President Dr.Mohamed Waheed visited State of Kuwait during the period 1-3/4/2013 accompanied by Minister of Finance Mr.Abdullah Jihad and high level officers of Maldivian Government at the invitation of Kuwait Amir His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jabir Al Sabah.

H.E. The Ambassador Yaqoub Yousef Alateeqi met with the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa on 17/4/2013 at the Temple Trees ,on the sidelines of the meeting with the heads of 15 Islamic countries in Sri Lanka.

The Embassy of The State of Kuwait in Colombo has celebrated in the evening of 21/Feb/2013 52ND Independence of the State of Kuwait and the 22 Years Anniversary to liberate Kuwait from Sadam's Invasion.

Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Abdul-Hasan, advisor at Kuwait’s Amiri Diwan (the permanent center of the nation’s rulers), serving as an envoy of the Amir of the State of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa this afternoon at Temple Trees.

H.E. The Ambassador Yaqoub Yousef Alateeqi attended the independence day celebration of Republic of Sri Lanka. The Republic of Sri Lanka celebrated its sixty fifth independence ceremonies on 04/02/2013 at Trincomalee in the presence of President of Sri Lanka Mr.Mahinda Rajapaksa.

HE The Ambassador Yaquob Yousef Alateeqi visited Malika Orphanage on 31st January, 2013 as Kuwait Airways carried out a Charity Programme to commemorate the 52nd National Day and 22nd Anniversary of the Liberation of the State of Kuwait.

HE The Ambassador Yaqoub Yousef Al Ateeqi received a delegation from International Islamic Charitable Organizations-State of Kuwait- led by Mr.Abdul Rahman Alawadhi –Asia Committee Manager, accompanied by Mr. Dirar S.Al Tarawa and Mr. Mohamed Al Geeran.
