H.E. Yaqoub Yusuf al Ateeqi, the Ambassador to State of Kuwait in Sri Lanka has visited Musali area in Mannar district today Tuesday 18, June 2013 to inspect the progress of Kuwait Housing project which is funded by Zakat House of Kuwait, construction of 50 houses for the benefit of poor and needy people in the Northern province. It is noteworthy to mention that the foundation laying ceremony was graced by H.E the Ambassador on 30th October 2012. It is observed that the progress of the project is remarkably well and it is expected to hand over the houses to the beneficiaries in two month period.
H.E. the ambassador ceremonially opened a Mosque at Mankulam which was built by H.E. the ambassador for the memory of his late Father.
H.E. the ambassador was accompanied by Mr.Abdur Rahman, Director Projects of Sri Lanka Jama’ath-e-Islami being implementing agency and also received by officials from Hon.Minister Rishard Badiuddin , Minister of Industry and commerce.
