The Embassy of The State of Kuwait in Colombo has celebrated in the evening of 22/Feb/2011 four occasions in the same time.
- Golden Jubilee of the Independence of the State of Kuwait.
- 20 Years Anniversary to liberate Kuwait from Sadam’s Invasion.
- 5th Anniversary of HH Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah’s accession as Amir of State of Kuwait.
- 40th Anniversary of establishing diplomatic Relations between State of Kuwait and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Participated in these occasions on behalf of Government of Sri Lanka Mr.Dew Gunasekara Minister of Human Resources. Also participated several other ministers such as Mr.Atauda Seneviratna Minister of Rural Development , Mr. Mohamed Fawzi Minister of Urban Development Mr.P Dayaratna Minister of food, Deputy Foreign Minister Mr.Neomal Perera , Deputy Minister of Women and Child Affairs Mr. Mohamed Hizbullah, Parliament Members Dr. Jayalath Jayawardana, Mr. John Amaratunga, Mr.Mohamed Azvar, High level officers, Business Community, Media Personals and Several other Sri Lankan communities in addition to that foreign diplomats in Sri Lanka.
