HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair the Ambassador held a friendly discussion with theIndustry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Colombo recently .

This discussion took place prior to the official visit of the Minister to Kuwait scheduled to be on 9thOctober 2018.

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair the Ambassador discussed ways to promote and develop economic cooperation with the State of Kuwait and Republic of Sri Lanka with the theIndustry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen

The Minister commended the State of Kuwait for existing good relationship with Sri Lanka and expressed his country’s appreciation for the contribution by Kuwait in order to promote economic development in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Bader Al Nouwaim Diplomatic attach also participated in this discussion .

أجرى وزير التجارة والصناعة رشاد بديع الدين مباحثات رسمية مع سعادة السفير / خلف بو ظهير بمقر وزارة التجارة في كولومبو تمهيدا لزيارة رسمية من المقرر أن يجريها وزير التجارة والصناعة رشاد بديع الدين إلى دولة الكويت خلال الفترة من 9-11/اكتوبر /2018.

وخلال المباحثات بحث سعادة السفير سبل تعزيز وتطوير التعاون الإقتصادي والإستثماري مع الوزير السريلانكي.

وأشادوزير التجارة والصناعة رشاد بديع الدينبالعلاقات المميزة مع دولة الكويت معربا عن تقدير بلاده لإسهامات الكويت التنموية من أجل تعزيز الإقتصادي في سريلانكا وشارك في المباحثات الملحق الدبلوماسي بدر النويم وعدد من كبار المسئولين في وزارة التجارة.

Mr. Hamoud Al Jabri Counselor attended the Convocation ceremony for 85 students of Mercy Education Complex on behalf of the Embassy of Kuwait Colombo situated in Puttalam on 25/9/2018.

شاركت سفارة دولة الكويت ممثلة سعادة المستشار / حمود سوهج الحبري في حفل تخريج 85 طلبا من مركز الرحمة للتدريب المهني وذلك في مدينة بوتالام يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 28/9/2018.

Mr. Hamoud Al Jabri Counselor participated in the opening ceremony of the Masjid Khalid Hamad Al Khalid on behalf of the Embassy of Kuwait Colombo in the Kapatigollawa City on 21/9/2018.

شاركت سفارة دولة الكويت ممثلة سعادة المستشار / حمود سوهج الحبري بإفتتاح مسجد خالد حمد الخالد رحمه الله في مدينة كبتيجولاوا وذلك يوم الجمعة الموافق 21/9/2018 .

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair the Ambassador hosted a Dinner on Monday 23/7/2018 in honour of the visiting Kuwait Delegation headed by Mr Ali Suleiman Al-Saeed Assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwaitfor Asian Affairs

Mr Ali Suleiman Al-Saeed held talks on Tuesday 24/7/2018 with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana on bilateral ties bonding the two countries. Participated in this occasion HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair the Ambassador and Counselor of the Embassy Mr. Hamoud Al Jabri.

Additionally, ​ the Kuwaiti delegation held detailed discussions on bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Sri Lanka​​ with Additional Secretary (Bilateral Affairs) Sumith Nakandala and top officers from Foreign Ministry and other officials.

أقام سعادة السفير/ خلف بو ظهير مأدبة عشاء يوم الإثنين الموافق 23/7/2018 على شرف وفد رفيع المستوى من وزارة الخارجية الكويتية برئاسة سعادة/ علي سليمان السعيد مساعد وزير الخارجية لشئون آسيا .

وخلال الزيارة إلتقى سعادة/ علي سليمان السعيد والوفد المرافق له وزير خارجية جمهورية سريلانكا السيد/ تلاك مارابانا ، وتم خلال اللقاء إستعراض العلاقات الثنائية المتميزة بين البلدين وسبل تعزيزها وتطويرها في كافة المجالات ، وحضر اللقاء سعادة السفير/ خلف بوظهير والمستشار/ حمود الجبري.

وعلى هامش الزيارة عقد الوفد الكويتي مباحثات ثنائية مع كبار المسئولين في وزارة الخارجية السريلانكية.

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair the Ambassador participated in the commemoration of Nakba Day organized by the Palestinian Embassy in Sri Lanka on 14/5/2018.

The former president of Sri Lanka Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa, Ministers, Members of Parliament, representatives of political parties and civil organizations in Sri Lanka, Diplomatic corps and several other top officials participated in this ceremony.

شارك سعادة السفير / خلف بو ظهير في إحتفال إحياء ذكرى يوم النكبة أقامته السفارة الفلسطينية في سريلانكا بتاريخ 14/5/2018.

وحضر الحفل ممثلين عن الأحزاب السريلانكية المختلفة ومنهم الرئيس السابق ماهيندا راجاباكسا والوزراء ,وأعضاء البرلمان وممثلي منظمات المجتمع المدني والسلك الدبلوماسي الممثل في سريلانكا.

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador received the group of youth volunteers from Kuwait and Gulf Countries on 5th /May /2018 at the Embassy premises. H.E The Ambassador praised the efforts of the youth in extending assistance to the people of SriLanka. H.E. The Ambassador hosted a Dinner at Cinnamon Grand Hotel in honour of the visiting Delegation

إستقبل سعادة السفير/ خلف بو ظهير وفدا من الشباب الكويتيين الخليجيين للتدريب على العمل التطوعي ( العدد 31) بتاريخ 4/5/2018 بمقر السفارة . وأشاد سعادته خلال المقابلة بالمبادرة الشبابية للتدريب على العمل التطوعي ومد يد العون والمساعدة للمحتاجين في سريلانكا. وأقام سعادة السفير/ خلف بو ظهير حفل عشاء على شرف الوفد الكويتي بفندق سينامان جراند – كولومبو.

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador held a friendly discussion with Hon. Sajith Premadasa Minister of Housing and Construction at the Sethsiripaya Building on 25/4/2018. During the meeting both parties discussed bilateral relations in all aspects between the two countries. The Minister commended the State of Kuwait for existing good relationship with Sri Lanka and expressed his country’s appreciation for the contribution by Kuwait in order to promote development of infrastructure projects through the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and Kuwait Joint Relief Committee. H.E. The Ambassador expressed his willingness of the State of Kuwait to provide further assistance to Sri lanka.

إلتقى سعادة السفير / خلف بوظهير بتاريخ 25/4/2018 بمقر وزارة الإسكان مع معالي وزير الأسكان السيد/ ساجيت بريمداسا وجرى خلال اللقاء إستعراض العلاقات الثنائية وبحث أوجه التعاون بين البلدين وسبل دعمها وتعزيزها . وأشاد وزير الإسكان السريلانكي بالعلاقات المميزة مع دولة الكويت معربا عن تقدير بلاده لإسهامات الكويت التنموية من أجل تعزيز البنية التحتية عبر مشاريع الصندوق الكويتي للتنمية الإقتصادية واللجنة الكويتية المشتركة للإغاثة. ومن جانبه ، اوضح سعادة السفير إستعداد حكومة دولة الكويت لتقديم يد العون والمساعدة وكافة التسهيلات الممكنة للشعب السريلانكي .

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador met with the newly appointed U.A.E. Ambassador H.E . sheikh ahmed ali hamad al mualla at the Embassy premiseson 27/03/2018.

H.E . The Ambassador wished successes to him and congratulated him for his new appointment.

He also discussed with the UAE Ambassador the latest political developments in the regional countries.

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair The Ambassador received the visiting Kuwait delegation from the Al Najath Charity Organization State of Kuwait- led by Al Sheikh Jamal Al Shatti

HE Khalaf Bu Dhhair praised the efforts of the Al Najath Charity Organization in extending assistance to the people of Sri Lanka. At the same time, Al Sheikh Jamal Al Shatti emphasized the role of the Embassy and its close relationship with the charity organizations in Kuwait.

وأشاد سعادة السفير خلال المقابلة بمبادرة الجمعية وتجاوبها السريع ومد يد العون والمساعدة للمحتاجين في سريلانكا. وأثنى الشيخ/ جمال الشطى على دور السفارة وتعاونها الوثيق مع الهيئات الخيرية في دولة الكويت.
