The Deputy Minister of Women Affairs and Children Mr. Hizbullah rejected the remarks made by Western Province Governor Alavi Moulana. He said there is no Armed groups among Muslims in the East and denied anyinternal problems between Muslims. Mr.Hizbullah further added that Alavi Moulana is the most senior in the Government and should respect others.
The Muslims in the East played a great roll to protect Muslims by fighting against Tamil Tigers. The majority of Muslims are living in the Eastern Province .they have handed over all the arms to the Sri Lankan Government upon the request of the Secretary of Ministry of Defence.
