His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Sunday 2/2/2014 held a luncheon banquet in honor of the visiting Vice President of the Maldives Mohamed Jameel Ahmed and his accompanying delegation.
Participated in this function Several top officials from Kuwait includingMinister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarakand Kuwait’s Ambassador to Sri Lanka and non-resident Ambassador to the Maldives Yaquob Yousef Alateeqi.
After the Lunch , The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah holds a biliterial discussions with Vice President Dr Mohamed Jameel Ahmed.
At the meeting, the Kuwaiti Emir shared with the Vice President, the Kuwaiti government’s eagerness to assist the Maldives in the development of the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
Noting that the Maldives and Kuwait have always shared close relations, the Emir of Kuwait assured of their support in achieving the Maldives’ developmental aspirations.
The Kuwaiti Emir thanked the people and the Government of Maldives for the continuous support to Kuwait, especially during times of distress.
