HE The Ambassador Yaqoub Yousef Alateeqi attended the Ceremony of distribution of houses for internally displaced people (IDP) in Mannar situated 320 Km away from the capitol of Colombo.
The Jamathe Islami of Sri Lanka organized the Ceremony . The project includes 42 houses financed by Kuwait Joint Relief Committee .
During the ceremony HE The Ambassador delivered a speech in which he said the Government of Kuwait is pleased to help the people in Mannar District .He further explained the role played by the State of Kuwait in providing assistance to the people of Sri Lanka.
Hon .Mr. Rishard Badiuddeen ,Trade and Commerce Minister , Mr. Badar Al Shamrook Representative for Kuwait Joint Relief Committee and several other top officials from the Government of Kuwait also participated the ceremony.
